ICTR Funding Opportunities

 

ACCELERATED TRANSLATIONAL INCUBATOR PILOT (ATIP) PROGRAM
APPLICATION DEADLINE: MONDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2022 | 5:00 PM
REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS

The milestone-driven Accelerated Translational Incubator Pilot (ATIP) Program provides up to $50,000 in direct costs over twelve months for faculty conducting translational research projects  focused on the translation of laboratory and/or clinical research into new interventions that can be brought to patients within 3 to 5 years. Johns Hopkins University faculty members interested in funding for a new or ongoing translational project may be eligible to apply (view the RFA for more details). Collaborative projects that include UMB and JHU translational scientists will be prioritized. Applications featuring the following are strongly encouraged:

  1. New research teams which were built to promote cross-disciplinary collaborations.
  2. The participation of junior investigators (i.e. assistant professor) or more experienced faculty in a new area of research.

JOHNS HOPKINS KAISER PERMANENTE RESEARCH COLLABORATION COMMITTEE PILOT GRANTS
APPLICATION DEADLINE: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2022 | 5:00 PM
REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS

 

The Johns Hopkins and Kaiser Permanente Research Collaboration Committee seeks to fund research projects highlighting the effective synergy of the Johns Hopkins Medicine and Kaiser Permanente collaboration in tackling the complex and intriguing questions vexing both health systems.

Research projects should best represent initial research that leverages the unique capabilities of each learning health system and funded projects will be managed by two co-Principal Investigators (PIs); one from Kaiser Permanente and one from Johns Hopkins.

Funding is available for up to four projects with a total of $75,000/project. No indirect costs are allowed and funding will not start any sooner than April 1, 2023, pending Institutional Review Board review and approval.

BOOST AND PROPEL AWARDS
APPLICATION DEADLINE: MONDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2022 | 11:59 PM
REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS

 

BOOST and PROPEL Awards are clinical research grants that award ICTR Clinical Research Unit (CRU) services, including research space, overnight beds, phlebotomy, specialized research nursing, and CRU-based imaging (i.e. DXA, CV core) to investigators.

 BOOST Awards are intended for junior investigators while PROPEL Awards are for established investigators.

Any Johns Hopkins University faculty member interested in funding for a new or ongoing clinical research project is eligible to apply.
