Register for the 2021 Introduction to Clinical Research Summer Course

Registration Information

 

This course provides an intensive introduction to clinical research methods, emphasizing epidemiological and biostatistical methods. Instructors are Dr. Daniel Ford,  vice dean for clinical investigation at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Dr. Karen Bandeen-Roche, PhD, MS, the Hurley Dorrier Professor and Chair in Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

 

Upon completion, students will be able to:

  • Describe the steps involved in conducting clinical research.
  • Review and evaluate the main study designs used in clinical research: case-control, cohort, clinical trials, cross-sectional and meta-analyses.
  • Prepare and review a research project.

 

Instruction is only offered online and can be taken for non-credit or credit. Reference the ICTR course website for full course information including a detailed schedule. Students must submit an abstract for a research project prior to the beginning of the course. Please register early as space is limited.
