Our next Third Thursdays with the ICTR lecture will provide an overview of the CONNECT Project (Developing a learning COmmunity to increase eNgagemeNt and Enrollment in cardiovascular Clinical Trials).
CONNECT, funded by the American Heart Association, aims to increase participation in cardiovascular clinical trials among underrepresented communities by creating a participant-centered learning community for cardiovascular disease.
Speaker Hailey Miller, PhD, assistant professor at the School of Nursing will:
• Describe the purpose of CONNECT.
• Discuss strategies to partner with the CONNECT team for cardiovascular research recruitment and enrollment.
• Identify potential collaborations among ongoing research studies and the CONNECT project team.
CONNECT is a collaboration between John Hopkins University, Morgan State University, community partners, in addition to research teams conducting cardiovascular clinical trials.
