Conducting COVID-19 Research at Howard County General, Sibley Memorial, and Suburban Hospitals
STAFF:
- Howard County General Hospital: 2 Research RN Coordinators, 1 Regulatory Specialist
- Sibley: 2 Research Coordinators
- Suburban: 2.5 Research RN Coordinators, 1 Research Coordinator
NOT ON SITE:
- COVID Outpatient Capability
- BSL 2 Lab: All specimens are sent to East Baltimore or an outside lab for processing
CONSIDERATIONS:
- No ambulatory COVID patient capability
- For sponsored studies, sponsor must expressly approve CAPRES sites as additional study locations when negotiating the contract and budget
- An onsite PI must be selected
- Only the onsite PI can order study drugs; telephone consent can be obtained by the study PI
