Meet the ICTR Johns Hopkins Kaiser Permanente Collaborative Award Recipients

As part of the ICTR’s commitment to advancing the learning health care system, Johns Hopkins Medicine and the Kaiser Permanente Health System formed the Johns Hopkins and Kaiser Permanente Research Collaboration Committee. The committee, which includes academic and health system leaders from both institutions, offers pilot awards as a way to fund research teams embedded in health systems, working to improve the delivery of health care.

“These grants were first given in 2015 and have already impacted how care is delivered,” states Daniel Ford, MD, MPH, director of the ICTR.

The awards fund research teams that include investigators from both Johns Hopkins University and Kaiser Permanente. Projects that address regional health issues with partners at the Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic States are given priority. These research teams were selected by academic and health system leaders from both institutions so that the results are more likely to have impact on how health care is actually delivered.

It gives us great pleasure to announce the 2021 recipients.
