The Office of Clinical Trials and Health IT have partnered to bring OnCore, a leading clinical trial management system (CTMS), to Johns Hopkins Medicine. With this state-of-the-art system, clinical investigators and their research teams will deploy a unified platform to integrate every facet of clinical trials — from patient recruitment, data collection and regulatory compliance to financial management. OnCore will replace the existing clinical research management system (CRMS).
The OnCore project team at Johns Hopkins is committed to providing training and ongoing support to help ensure a successful implementation. All studies with a prospective reimbursement analysis (PRA) will require the use of OnCore. For studies without a PRA, the use of OnCore is optional. Training is required to access the system.

About OnCore
OnCore is a centralized, web-based enterprise system that supports clinical research studies. Implementation of the system will help improve billing and compliance, enhance operational efficiency, provide robust reporting capability and facilitate research collaboration.
Implementation Schedule and Required Training.
OnCore was successfully piloted in October at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and with select non-oncology investigators. In late April, the system will expand to all of Johns Hopkins Medicine. At that time, the current CRMS will be permanently decommissioned.
