The Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute (UHI) is now accepting applications for the 2024 Henrietta Lacks Memorial Award. To recognize champions for health equity and honor Henrietta Lacks’ contributions and legacy, the UHI is offering a $15,000 award to Baltimore City community-based programs collaborating with Johns Hopkins faculty, students, or staff for more than two years.
Examples of eligible collaborations include:
- poverty
- community health and well-being
- social justice
- neighborhood development
The UHI appreciates the incredible work done by community-based organizations and the dedicated individuals at Johns Hopkins who strive each day to create an equitable and healthy Baltimore.
