Open to all Johns Hopkins University Junior Faculty Members

The BIRCWH K12 Program is accepting applications for the 2023 JHU BIRCWH Award. The JHU BIRCWH supports the career development of full time faculty focused on research in women’s health and sex and gender differences research. This is a two year program with support provided by the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH) and National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).

The application deadline is Tuesday, November 15, 2022 by 11:59 pm.

Awards consist of:

  • Up to $100,000 in annual salary support (plus fringe) for 2 years.
  • Up to $34,000 to support the costs research related expenses, career development, and other related activities.
  • An average of $2,000 annually for travel in support of the award objectives.

Applicants must have a clinical doctorate or PhD degree, or equivalent, and a fulltime Johns Hopkins faculty appointment by the date of receipt of the award (Postdoctoral clinical fellows with pending appointments are eligible). Applicants must have no more than six years of research or research training experience beyond their last doctoral degree.
