The K12 Research in Addictions Scholars Program (KRASP), funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), will host a virtual information session for prospective applicants. KRASP supports the development of early-career researchers focused on clinical substance use and substance use disorders research, with consideration given to preclinical researchers whose work has a strong translational focus.
The session will cover program structure, eligibility requirements, funding support, mentorship, and expectations for scholars, including protected research time and progression toward independent external funding. KRASP provides up to three years of support, including salary and research funding, contingent on annual performance. Eligible candidates include recent faculty appointments from the JHU Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or Engineering.
Anticipated opening for applications starting the first week of January 2026 and closing the application portal at the end of February. Funding for scholars would start July 1, 2026.
An information session for prospective applicants will be held on:
Wednesday, January 7, 2026, 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
