CGH announces the appointment of Patricia Eugene Pugh, D.O., as chair of the Dept. of Emergency Medicine and medical director of Emergency Services.
Columbia, MD – Howard County General Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, announces the appointment of Patricia Eugene Pugh, D.O., as chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine and medical director of Emergency Services, effective May 27, 2022. As such, Dr. Pugh is responsible for the hospital’s busy adult Emergency Department, which cared for more than 47,600 patients in fiscal year 2021 as well as supervising the provider group for Emergency Medicine, which includes physicians and Allied Practice Practitioners.
Dr. Pugh joined the HCGH professional staff in 2017 and served as the assistant chair for the Department of Emergency Medicine. She received her doctorate of osteopathy from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Jefferson Health NJ Emergency Medicine. Dr. Pugh is currently the vice president of the Professional Staff.
