Johns Hopkins ICTR Community Partners and Staff Participate in the Advancing the Science of Community-Engaged Research Conference


On September 14th and 15th, nine community partners, faculty, staff, and students from the Johns Hopkins Institute for Clinical and Translational Research’s Research Participant Community Partnership Core participated in the Advancing the Science of Community-Engaged Research Conference in Washington, DC. The conference convened researchers and community stakeholders from across the country to share and discuss innovative methods and promising practices. The agenda featured presentations from leaders at the National Institutes for Health, Association of American Medical Colleges the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute, and many colleagues from the NIH Clinical & Translational Science Award (CTSA) Program and institutions. Community Partnership and Collaboration Core


We engage community partners, stakeholders, and researchers to co-design, implement, evaluate and disseminate clinical and translational research. Our goal is to improve community health by ensuring that research is culturally appropriate, valued, efficient and effective.   Community Partnership and Collaboration Core Pilot Grants Community Partnership and Collaboration Core Pilot Grants are designed to build and support community engaged research (CEnR) partnerships through relationship building activities, exploring research interests and developing infrastructure and governance for research partnerships.
