The ICTR understands the importance of working with the local community to share and disseminate clinical research findings. We strive to build and maintain relationships with those that have a common goal. Johns Hopkins ICTR Community Partners and Staff Participate in the Advancing the Science of Community-Engaged Research Conference


On September 14th and 15th, nine community partners, faculty, staff, and students from the Johns Hopkins Institute for Clinical and Translational Research’s Research Participant Community Partnership Core participated in the Advancing the Science of Community-Engaged Research Conference in Washington, DC. The conference convened researchers and community stakeholders from across the country to share and discuss innovative methods and promising practices. The agenda featured presentations from leaders at the National Institutes for Health, Association of American Medical Colleges the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute, and many colleagues from the NIH Clinical & Translational Science Award (CTSA) Program and institutions. Advancing Research in the Digital Age February 27, 2018 This conference focused on building institutional knowledge around research consenting, recruiting and data collection in the informatics age. The goal is to help Johns Hopkins researchers learn what digital technologies are available and how to utilize these tools in human subject research. Community & Stakeholder Engagement


  The Community Engagement Program of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Clinical and Translational Research aims to bring researchers, diverse communities, and stakeholders together to share their knowledge, skills and resources with a common goal of improving community health. Community Engaged Research Training We offer introductory and advanced training in community engaged research.  Training topics include:  Planning and evaluating community engagement in research; disseminating research findings to the public; building and sustaining research partnerships. All training is delivered by Johns Hopkins faculty and staff in collaboration with the Community Research Advisory Council.
