Capital Region Research (CAPRES)


CAPRES was created to promote and support high quality research across multiple disciplines in our three community hospitals— Howard County General Hospital, Sibley Memorial Hospital, and Suburban Hospital. The primary responsibility is to grow research at these sites in both volume and impact. CAPRES provides the interface with several key Johns Hopkins Medicine Research entities including the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Office Of Research Administration (ORA), Johns Hopkins Clinical Research Network (JHCRN), and the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR). Collaborations


The ICTR plans a variety of activities to promote interactions of clinical, translational and basic scientist trainees across Johns Hopkins. We commit to continued cooperation with the NIH and other CTSA programs.   Accrual to Clinical Trials (ACT) Secure, HIPAA-compliant and IRB-approved platform to assist with designing and completing clinical trials.
