Open to all Johns Hopkins University Faculty

The milestone-driven Accelerated Translational Incubator Pilot (ATIP) program provides up to $100,000 over twelve months in targeted funding and project management for faculty conducting translational research projects. The ICTR is now requesting applications with a submission deadline of 11:59 pm on Friday, November 22, 2019.  Any Johns Hopkins University faculty member interested in obtaining funding for a new or ongoing   translational project is eligible to apply. However, awarded PIs may not apply for a new ATIP project within the twenty-four months following receipt of their initial award funds.  Grants are for up to $100,000 in direct costs and may not be used for faculty salary with the exception of Research Associate support. Posted with this RFA are an ATIP Program FAQ with more specific information about the program and application process, as well as the Abstract template, Project Readiness Checklist, Project Schedule template, Budget template and NIH biosketch template, which are required components of the ATIP application.

PLEASE NOTE: If selected for funding, applicants whose pilots involve human subject’s research or vertebrate animal studies must submit a document package to NCATS for final approval. Research Navigators will provide guidance and support to teams during this process. Please see the “Regulatory Requirements/Approvals” section of this RFA for additional information.
