The Francis S. Collins Scholars Program in Neurofibromatosis Clinical and Translational
Research is designed to build a community of exceptional clinician scientists who will
lead Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) research and clinical care. “Collins Scholars”
receive essential support and resources that enable them to focus their efforts on
improving treatment options and outcomes for people with NF1.

All applications, review processes, and post-award management are done through
ProposalCentral. Please follow the ProposalCentral directions for each section (1-13).

A checklist of all items required for a complete application is included for your
convenience in Addendum 2. The fully completed application and ALL supporting
materials (including letters of support and signature pages) must be received by
December 21, 2021 by 11:59p.m. EST. Applicants will be notified of award status by
January 24, 2022. The FCSs tenure starts July 1, 2022.
