SUMMARY:Data Manager’s Interest Group (DMIG) Webinar
DESCRIPTION:REDCap eConsent at Johns Hopkins University\nWhat It Is and How It’s Implemented\nTuesday\, January 14\, 2025 | Noon- 1:00 pm\nRegister \nThis ICTR Data Managers Interest Group (DMIG) looks at how to implement/configure eConsent using the updated REDCap eConsent Framework in alignment with current IRB guidance for e-consent. \nDescription:\nRecently\, REDCap introduced an improved eConsent framework (REDCap eConsent 2.0). The new eConsent framework adds more flexibility and improves the configuration process. Specifically\, the updated framework can now accommodate: \n\nMultiple languages: Present the appropriate version of the eConsent document based on the participant’s preferred language.\nSite-specific eConsent (for multi-site projects): Present a site-specific version of the eConsent document.\nMultiple Signatures: In almost all circumstances\, a valid eConsent requires multiple signatures (participant\, study coordinator\, LAR…).\nVersioning: How to handle updated IRB versions in REDCap.\n\nPresenter:\nScott Carey\, REDCap Administrator \n*NOTE: Use of REDCap for eConsent requires IRB approval and REDCap eConsent is not currently approved for FDA-regulated research.
