SUMMARY:Concept Notes Deadline: Johns Hopkins ALACRITY Center Pilot Grant
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Johns Hopkins ALACRITY Center for Health and Longevity in Mental Illness\, funded by a NIMH P50\, is pleased to announce requests for proposals for our 2025 Pilot Grant Program. The ALACRITY Center pilot grant program is an opportunity to serve as the Principal Investigator of a NIMH funded pilot grant. The pilot grant program will support investigators conducting R03-scope studies on topics related to improving physical health among adults with serious mental illness and youth with serious emotional disturbance. Competitive proposals will make a clear case for how their pilot work will be leveraged into future NIH-funded research. \nJohns Hopkins faculty at all levels are welcome to apply and can request funding for 1-2 years\, up to $50\,000 per year. DESCRIPTION:2025 Clinical Research Scholars Program (K12)\nApplication Deadline: Friday\, December 13\, 2024 \nThe Clinical Research Scholars Program (K12) is accepting applications for the 2025 K12 Mentored Career Development Awards. K12 supports the career development of faculty members dedicated to pursuing a career in clinical investigation. This is a three-year program with the scholars’ department committing to support the scholar during the third year. Support for 2025-2026 is contingent upon successful review and funding. \nAwards consist of: \n\nUp to $110\,000 in annual salary support (plus fringe) for 2 years\nUp to $30\,000 to support the costs of a degree or training program\, research related expenses\, and other related activities\nUp to $2\,500 annually for travel in support of the award objectives\n\nApplicants must have a research or health professional doctoral degree or equivalent and a full-time faculty appointment in either the SOM\, SPH\, SOE or SON by the date of receipt of the award (Postdoctoral clinical fellows with pending appointments are eligible).

DESCRIPTION:Johns Hopkins and Kaiser Permanente Research Collaboration Pilot Awards\nApplication Deadline: Wednesday\, December 18\, 2024 | 5:00 pm\nProgram Overview\nRequest for Applications \nThe Johns Hopkins and Kaiser Permanente Research Collaboration Committee seeks to fund research projects highlighting the effective synergy of the Johns Hopkins Medicine and Kaiser Permanente collaboration in tackling the complex and intriguing questions vexing both health systems. \nResearch projects should best represent initial research that leverages the unique capabilities of each learning health system and funded projects will be managed by two co-Principal Investigators (PIs); one from Kaiser Permanente and one from Johns Hopkins. \nFunding is available for up to four projects with a total of $75\,000/project. No indirect costs are allowed and funding will not start any sooner than May 1\, 2025\, pending Institutional Review Board approval.
