ICTR Lunch and Learn: PCORI Research Network

“How to work with the PCORI Research Network – From EMR data-only protocols to pragmatic clinical trials”
In case you missed it: View the slides.

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) funds PCORnet, the National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network. PCORnet is an integrated partnership of 9 large Clinical Research Networks (CRNs) and a Coordinating Center which all utilized a PCORnet Common Data Model (CDM) to provide standardized access to EMR data for >70 million patients nationwide. Johns Hopkins is a founding member of PaTH, one of the 9 PCORnet CRNs.

Dan Ford, MD, MPH; “GK” Gauvey-Kern, MS; and Harold Lehmann, MD, PhD, leaders of the Johns Hopkins PaTH Network will present and Wendy Bennett, MD, MPH, an investigator who utilized PaTH will share her experience.

The objectives are to:

  1. Describe the general organization of the PCORnet and PaTH research networks.
  2. Review the various types of research currently being done within PaTH/PCORnet.
  3. Learn why and how you might collaborate with PCORnet/PaTH for your own research.

A question and answer period will follow the talk.

More information about PCORnet/PaTH at Johns Hopkins can be found here.
