Overview

The Johns Hopkins All Children’s Annual Research Symposium addresses knowledge gaps in causes and treatments of pediatric diseases, as well as determinants of childhood health, by inviting national/international experts in pediatrics and pediatric subspecialties to discuss current guidelines, practice standards, and key findings from recent clinical and basic science research. This conference is exclusively intended for the employees and staff of Johns Hopkins and its affiliates.

Speakers include Dan Hanley, MD, ICTR Deputy Director for Support & Innovation in Multi Center Trials.

 

Objectives
  1. Identify key resources in clinical/translational and basic research in child health and disease, by designing and executing multicenter trials at Johns Hopkins All Children’s and throughout Hopkins.
  2. Describe fundamental mechanisms driving disease processes from genetic origins to functional evaluation.
  3. Recognize institutional goals for academic transformation of Johns Hopkins All Children’s, which include building an academic culture of biomedical discovery and presenting new knowledge gained from basic and translational research.
