The diagnosis, treatment and overall care needs of breast cancer patients becomes more complex every year due to innovative improvements in therapies, better screening processes, and multidisciplinary care models developing across the US. The indications for axillary node dissection continue to change. Immununotherapy with immune checkpoint blockade is achieving startling results in some patients. There are more options for molecular profiling of tumors, as well as more choices about systemic therapies and radiation therapy. There are more and more long term survivors who require careful management to maintain a high quality of life.
