SUMMARY:David C. Hodgson Endowed Lecture
DESCRIPTION:Heather E. Volk\, Ph.D.\, MPH\, the Michael J. Klag and Lucy A. Meoni Distinguished Professor and director of the Wendy Klag Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health\, will deliver a lecture titled Genetic and Environmental Contributions to Autism and Neurodevelopment: What We Know and What Comes Next. \nThis endowed lecture is made possible by the generosity of the General Atlantic Foundation in honor of David Hodgson\, past chairman and current member of the Johns Hopkins Medicine board of trustees. A primary objective of this lecture is to further strengthen the collaborative ties between Johns Hopkins Medicine and Kennedy Krieger Institute. The institute’s affiliation with Johns Hopkins spans more than 60 years and has led to significant contributions in understanding and treating people with autism\, learning disabilities and other disorders of the developing brain. \nA reception will follow the lecture.
