Enter the Wolfe Street Competition


The Maryland Genetics, Epidemiology and Medicine (MD-GEM) Training Program, through support of the Burroughs-Wellcome Fund, announces a call for applications for the Wolfe Street Competition. This competition fosters training and research collaborations in genetics, epidemiology and medicine between the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and National Human Genome Research Institute. Funding Opportunity: Understanding of Cutaneous Neurofibromas


Neurofibromatosis Therapeutic Acceleration Program (NTAP) launched a new research program focused on understanding the pathogenesis of cutaneous neurofibromas.  NTAP (www.n-tap.org) is a philanthropic research entity based at Johns Hopkins University dedicated to the discovery of therapeutics for the peripheral nerve tumors that afflict people with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1).   This research program sets the blueprint for improving therapeutics for these tumors by encouraging research proposals that improve the Understanding of Cutaneous Neurofibromas. Funding Opportunity: Mid Atlantic Nutrition Obesity Research Center (NORC) Pilot/Feasibility Grants


The Mid-Atlantic Nutrition Obesity Research Center (NORC), an NIH-funded center, is soliciting Letters of Intent to apply for pilot and feasibility grants of up to $50,000 (with no more than $5,000 going towards salary support for the PI or Co-I).  Eligibility for a second year of funding will be considered after submission of a progress report and plans for the second year.  Current P/F Awardees wishing to apply for a second year of funding should submit a letter of intent as well.
