ICTR in the News: Johns Hopkins Physician to Serve as Principal Officer for American Diabetes Association in 2018

Felicia Hill-Briggs, a Johns Hopkins University professor of medicine and senior director of population health research and development for Johns Hopkins Healthcare, will serve as president of health care and education for the American Diabetes Association beginning Jan. 1, 2018.
Hill-Briggs currently serves on the American Diabetes Association’s Research Policy Committee. In the past, she has chaired the association’s Council on Behavioral Medicine and Psychology and served on the Grant Review Committee. She is the director of diabetes research for the Trinidad and Tobago Health Sciences Initiative under Johns Hopkins International.
The American Diabetes Association is the nation’s largest voluntary health organization leading the fight against diabetes. Founded in 1940, the association works to prevent and cure diabetes, and to improve the lives of those affected by the disease. The association funds research, provides health information, and delivers services and support to communities of people affected by diabetes.
