2015 Nexus Award Information

The Behavioral, Social and Systems Science 2015 Nexus Award Program

**RFA deadline has passed**

The Behavioral, Social and Systems Science Nexus Award program has been designed to provide awardees with the funds required to work with an analyst in the Center for Clinical Data Analysis. The Center for Clinical Data Analysis (CCDA) assists the Johns Hopkins clinical research community with access to institutional data. The CCDA is staffed by data experts who have access to most Johns Hopkins Medicine institutional data sources, and who have the skills and training needed to extract data on behalf of researchers.

Examples of potential projects funded by this award include but are not limited to: Data requests for creating disease or other types of patient registries, patient lists for recruiting, and case findings for chart review. Investigators may obtain preliminary, anonymous data for feasibility, grant applications, and statistical sample-size estimates.

We realize many investigators will not be able to assess how much time or funding is required for their data needs. Therefore, investigators will not apply for a specific monetary amount. Instead, a descriptive application form has been designed to collect detailed information to help CCDA and scientific reviewers assess project feasibly and cost.

All applications must be uploaded to the ICTR Connection request page by Friday, October 30, 2015.
