The ICTR partnered with the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) to offer a Clinical Research Professional Certification Preparation & Good Clinical Practices (GCP) Review Course and to host the Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) exam. SOCRA established the Certification Program for Clinical Research Professionals in order to create an internationally accepted standard of knowledge, education, and experience by which clinical research professionals will be recognized by the clinical research community.
The goal of the workshop is to assist the participant prepare for the CCRP Certification examination. The course will review the concepts identified in the exam content outline and the standards of practice. ICH guidelines and FDA regulations that govern clinical research practice will also be reviewed.
The course will take place Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, room 1-500Q in the 2024 Building.

The Certification Examination was developed by the SOCRA Certification Committee and SOCRA Certified Clinical Research Professionals (CCRPs) who have demonstrated expertise in the development, management, and administration of clinical trials. These clinical research subject matter experts (SMEs) come from diverse backgrounds and job descriptions to reflect the composition of SOCRA membership.
The test questions are designed to be straightforward and easily understood. The questions are reviewed by experts in test question development and SOCRA language representatives for fairness and readability.
