Open to all Johns Hopkins University Faculty
The Translational Research Communities (TRC) were established with the renewed funding of the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research CTSA Award. The three TRCs reflect the most common pathways for how translational research improves the health of the population:
Each TRC will span the translational pathway from basic discovery to full implementation. The goals of the new TRCs are to improve the quality, innovation and impact of translational activities at Johns Hopkins through a series of symposiums, seminars, workshops and the Nexus Award Grant Program.
Each TRC will support one annual Nexus Award. These grants are aimed to bridge research gaps in the field and help investigators advance projects and technologies along the translational pathway. These awards will be the nexus, or key facilitator, which will propel investigators forward. They will span twelve months and are for up to $100,000.
The first two TRC-sponsored Nexus award RFAs will be released on August 30, 2014 on the ICTR website.
The Behavioral, Social and Systems Science Community RFA will be announced this winter.
Faculty members may apply by uploading the required application parts through the ICTR Connection Request System. The deadline for applications is October 1, 2014 at 11:59pm.
Please direct any questions to the TRC program administrator, Kelly Crowley (email@example.com).
