Program Overview

The Clinical Research Fellowship Program for medical students at Johns Hopkins is a Program designated to allow medical students who are interested in clinical research to take a year off from their formal medical school experience to conduct clinical research in a highly academic medical center. Opportunities are available in almost every Department and Institute at Johns Hopkins Medicine. The students will be required to attend some formal coursework and other regularly scheduled conferences. Importantly the students will work closely with a dedicated mentor and will also meet regularly with the Program Leaders.

The Program is supported by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation through a Clinical Research Fellowship for medical students. Johns Hopkins is one of a dozen medical schools nationwide who have successfully competed for this program.
