  • Ask an ICTR Navigator

The Navigators are here to help direct investigators to the ICTR services they need and advise them on "next steps" in the clinical and translational research enterprise at Johns Hopkins. If you’re not sure where to start, click here to ask a Navigator!

  • Accelerated Translational Incubator Pilot (ATIP) Program Application [RFA]

ATIP provides targeted funding or faculty conducting translational research projects. The next ATIP application deadline is October 1, 2009.

  • Biostatistics CenTeR [Website]

The goal of the Biostatistics Center’s consulting service is to promote the appropriate use of biostatistics in the design, implementation, and interpretation of clinical and translational research studies.

  • Imaging Support (OISTeR) [Website]

OISTeR facilitates one-on-one consultation with imaging experts for study design, imaging protocol development and study implementation.

  • Office of Recruitment and Retention Consulting Service (ORRCS) [Website]

ORRCS offers consultations and expert advice on the recruitment of research participants.

  • Research Ethics Consulting Service (RECS)

RECS provides advice and support for investigators as they address ethical questions that arise during study design and execution.

  • Translational Technology Core Laboratory (TTC) [Website]

The TTC supports clinically based research conducted by Hopkins investigators, with priority placed on projects proposed by junior faculty or new clinical investigators. TTC projects will be those requiring molecular technologies to facilitate research that will translate to altered patient diagnostics, management, or treatment. If the required technology is one that already exists in the clinical testing arena, the TTC facilitates assay design and patient testing. If the technology is not currently clinically used, TTC can investigate and validate the technology for clinical-grade results.

Laboratory services include: DNA extraction and banking; genotyping; linkage analysis, deletion analysis; clinical sequencing, mutation interpretation, and reporting; and research sequencing and sequence analysis. To request a TTC service through Connection Request, click here.
