Dr. George is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Medical School. Dr George trained in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. Dr. George has been awarded the Laureate Award by the American College of Physicians, Courage to Teach Award by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education, the Joseph Lee Hollander Award for Excellence and Achievement by the American College of Rheumatology, SGIM National Award for Innovation in Medical Education by the Society of General Internal Medicine, and the AIAMC Innovation Award by the Alliance of Independent Academic Medical Centers. In his role as Vice President and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. George oversees clinical research, graduate and undergraduate medical education and continuing medical education at the Reading Hospital. Dr. George provides strategic oversight for academic clinical research which encompasses the Clinical Trials Office and Research Administration. Dr. George has focused on strengthening Reading Hospitals’ position, both regionally and nationally, in areas of education and research.
